Privacy Policy
What information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how 137 Finder LLC, doing business as JudicialFinder ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you visit judicialfinder.com (the "Service"). The short version: JudicialFinder is a free, read-only reference site served as static pages, with no live database behind the public site and no accounts. You do not need to sign in, we do not run advertising, we do not sell or share your data, and we do not use tracking cookies. We collect as little as reasonably possible.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information we process through the Service. It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to, which have their own privacy practices.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide. JudicialFinder has no accounts, logins, or sign-up forms. The only way to share personal information with us is to email us, for example to report a data correction. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, when you visit, our hosting and content-delivery provider records standard technical request data, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time, in server logs used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
3. Analytics
We use a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics service to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs, in aggregate. It is privacy-friendly by design: it is cookieless, it does not track you across other websites, and it does not build an advertising profile of you. Because no cookies or persistent identifiers are stored on your device, there is no cookie banner.
4. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- understand overall usage and performance in aggregate;
- respond to your inquiries and process correction requests; and
- comply with legal obligations.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use cross-site tracking. Because the public site is static, there is no live database holding visitor data behind it. We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Service, described here by category rather than by brand:
- Our cloud hosting and content-delivery provider: serves the static website and its assets, keeps server logs for security and reliability, and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
These providers process limited technical data on our behalf, strictly to operate the Service, under their own privacy and security commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of JudicialFinder, our users, or the public; and, if the business is sold or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Cookies and Tracking
JudicialFinder does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use third-party trackers. Our analytics are cookieless (see above). Your browser may store a small preference locally, such as your light or dark theme choice; this stays on your device and is not sent to us or used to track you. If we ever add a technology that requires consent, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
7. Legal Bases (EEA and UK Visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we process the limited information described above based on our legitimate interests in operating, securing, understanding, and improving the Service, and to comply with legal obligations.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we do not maintain accounts and hold very little personal data, in most cases the only information tied to you is an email you have sent us. California residents (CCPA and CPRA) have the right to know, delete, and correct their personal information; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, email support@judicialfinder.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
A note on judges: JudicialFinder is a reference work about judges in their public, official capacity, compiled from public records. Requests about that public-record information are handled through our corrections policy, not as personal-data requests, because it is public information rather than private data we hold about you.
9. Data Retention
We keep correspondence, such as correction reports, only as long as needed to handle it and keep a record of the change. Server logs and aggregated analytics held by our provider are retained for a limited period consistent with security and operational needs.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including managed infrastructure, encryption in transit (HTTPS), and a static public site with no live database to breach. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International Visitors
We operate the Service from the United States and process information there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
